Call for Interest
For more than 4 years, the international Computer Cooking Contest conference has brought together the most talented computer scientists who have an interest in novel digital technologies for cooking. Organized for the first time in Trier (Germany) in 2008, then at Seattle (US) in 2009, at Alexandria (Italy) in 2010 and at Greenwich (UK) in 2011, the 2012 CCC will be held on September 3 in Lyon which is the capital of French cuisine!
Past contests have rewarded the most innovative reasoning systems that were capable of creating a new recipes based on a standard set of recipes that were known in advance and a list of ingredients that were chosen on the day of the contest. In 2012, the goals of the CCC are expanded. This year, we intend to reward the authors of the most innovative digital tools for home cooking. The total number of prize and their value are still the subject of discussions. We are currently considering to award 3 prizes, the first prize being a cash award of 1,500€, to reward the most novative digital system for home cooking and two other prizes that are more targeted such as a prize for the most novative recipe e-book. Write your own software application for the live competition. Show that your program is more creative than the average cook. Let your computer's recipe creations be evaluated by a professional cook and an international jury of scientists!
